Klea Harris, Attorney

Attorney Klea Harris's estate planning practice focuses on helping families enhance their lives today and secure their futures tomorrow. She excels in helping young families and retirees, people like you, who want to plan and prepare their children for a time when they are no longer able to guide and protect them on earth, a time when they will become their guardian angel through their living estate plan.

Klea's legal experience includes family protection, wealth preservation, and values-based planning, as well as planning strategies for young families, second marriages, ultra high net worth and those in hospice care. Married or single, a traditional family or blended one, just starting out or looking back on a life well-lived, Klea will guide you through the often confusing maze of financial and legal decisions and craft a plan that ensures the well-being of your family and achieves your goals for your loved ones today and for years to come.

Klea has always enjoyed assisting aging populations and those who love them.  She assisted several elderly couples as a high school student, minored in gerontology in college, and served nine years as a volunteer Meals on Wheels driver. She currently serves as chair of the Utah Valley Caregiver Conference and participates in the Utah Bar's Business section as chair and Estate Planning section as a member of the legislative committee spearheading a revisit of the Utah Statutory Advanced Health Directive.

Klea routinely lectures on a variety of topics including family wealth planning, wealth preservation, and asset protection of inheritances. Known as a passionate and knowledgeable educator, Klea sees education as her primary role with her clients and their families, especially through the avenue of family meetings to develop unifying charitable purposes.  Since 2016, Klea has focused exclusively on Trusts and Estates because she is passionate about helping families create happy and secure futures.

Klea graduated from J. Reuben Clark School of Law at Brigham Young University in 2007. While attending BYU Law school, Klea received the outstanding community service award; legal writing award; served as Senior Editor for the Education Law Journal; and graduated early. She focused her early professional efforts on developing prevention and social emotional learning curriculum for the Utah State Office of Education (USOE) and The School of Life Project.org. Klea sat on the USOE Safe and Drug Free Schools Prevention Steering Committee from 2007-2014.

Most importantly, Klea and her husband, Mike, have been married for twenty-three years, and are blessed with eight children, including three they adopted from Haiti. With only two left at home, she loves taking the 1966 Jet Trailer she rehabbed out camping with anyone who is up for the adventure!
